Man Up! Tell Me You’re Not In To Me.

Alt:"Man Up! Tell Me You're Not In To Me"

I can relate a lot to Gigi from He’s Just Not That Into You and when I say relate I mean we’re basically the same person. Gigi is looking for what everyone wants, love, but she does it fearlessly with zero regrets. Throughout the film she is rejected over and over again but she doesn’t let the rejection stop her on the quest to find love.

In the beginning she becomes infatuated with Connor after just one date and she sits around and waits for him to call. He never does because he is interested in someone else but he never has the balls to tell Gigi.

Throughout my years of dating I noticed that this is something guys do to let a girl know he’s not interested. They completely ignore us.

WHY? Why can’t you just say you’re not into me? Are you afraid I’m going to cry or worse?

We would rather that you man up

Here’s something boys don’t know girls: we would rather be told upfront that you no longer want to see us.  Trust me guys, if you tell a girl the truth upfront she will stop contacting you.

Alt:"If you man up and say you're not into me I will respect your decision"

If you man up and say you’re not into me or you don’t think we should see each other anymore I will respect your decision. What I have no respect for is someone fazing me out and hoping I don’t text anymore. This doesn’t make you a man — you are not sparing my feeling, you are only making me feel worse — and this makes you a coward.

So next time you’re thinking not contacting a girl and hoping she “gets the hint” remember fearless Gigi on her quest to find love.

Gigi deserves better than that and so do I.

Lizzette (Lizz) loves to talk in the third person. She refers to herself as the “epitome of cool” and loves to give opinions on topics she knows nothing about.
